For 80 years, the AHA has worked directly with hospitals and health systems to collect reliable data about U.S. hospitals. The AHA follows an established process for identifying hospitals, collecting information and carefully reviewing and validating survey responses.
The AHA Annual Survey of Hospitals profiles a universe of over 6,200 hospitals and 400 healthcare systems throughout the United States and associated areas, with exclusive data on health system performance and measures on patient satisfaction, readmissions, mortality, and quality.
